OLD GUARD REVIVAL BERLIN is a leather fellowship created and run by volunteers. It honors the rituals, traditions and protocols of a period of leather culture referred to as ‘Old Guard’.
Around the world, the Old Guard scene in various cities had different practices, yet most of the tenets of this subculture were similar in nature.
The meaning of REVIVAL, refers to a moment of becoming active and important again.
OLD GUARD REVIVAL BERLIN aims to educate people who are unfamiliar with this period of leather history and to teach them about the rituals, practices, traditions and values of the Old Guard scene, while leaving space for progress and adaptations to our modern days.
Welcome is everyone from our queer community who is interested. We live diversity and are allies to the whole spectrum of our queer family. Saying this we clearly state that gay, trans* and inter* folks, and everyone else who is part of our queer family is welcome and can feel safe at our meetings and events.
Primarily, OGRB is a leather event, so we want people at our events wearing leather. But newcomers to the leather community, not having full leather gear yet, are of course welcome.
